Celestial Mourning

This album is one that I really tried to sit down and crank out some songs. All of the songs are classically based, with a lot of influence from ambient and melodic doom metal.

The album only clocks in around 13 minutes. It was really an experimental stage for me, trying to make music only MIDI. I really had a fun time processing all of the songs, and I'm pretty happy with the end result, consider the minimal budget.

I really wanted this to be a dark, gloomy album. I had all of the songs specifically written for this CD. After mixing them all and stuff, I decided I didn't have any more patience to write more. Haha. Maybe a Part II will come out some day.

Benjamin Fortier Massachusetts

I grew up listening to bands like The Doors, Nirvana, and the Beatles. As my taste for metal grew more extreme, I was eager to pick up the guitar and to try and emulate my favorite guitarists, and make some music of my own. I'd like to consider myself more of a composer than a guitar player because I prefer to see the "big picture" in music.

I hope you enjoy my work! Feedback is appreciated.
